The journey

How it works

Getting started is straightforward. We keep the process clear — enquiry, assessment, registration, and activation.

  1. 1

    Enquiry

Phone, WhatsApp, website, or referral — we collect basic details about the member and enrolling family.

  2. 2

    Home assessment

A taluk coordinator visits to verify identity, health status, living situation, and emergency contacts.

  3. 3

    Membership

₹5,000 / year membership fee collected offline (UPI or bank transfer) after assessment — not online.

  4. 4

    Activation

Digital membership ID, emergency profile setup, and enrollment in the 24×7 response network.

  5. 5

    Optional tier upgrade

Choose monthly protection plans that build on Membership benefits when your family is ready.

Our taluk coordinators guide you at each step — including scheduling your home assessment and explaining offline payment.

Programme benefits

What you receive

Start with annual Membership for core benefits, then add a monthly protection plan when your family is ready.

As a Section 8 nonprofit, MGF does not charge registration or membership fees to generate profit. Fees exist only to recover the operational costs of running the response system — the 24×7 monitoring centre, taluk coordinators, emergency dispatch, and member support. Every rupee is reinvested into keeping the network running.

When charitable funds allow, MGF may fully or partly subsidise membership and/or monthly fees after assessment for seniors who cannot pay — subject to fund availability, not guaranteed. See the fee FAQ for details. Fee FAQ

Annual Membership fee (₹5,000 / year) is collected after your home assessment — not online. Need-based support may be available after assessment when funds allow.

Emergency response

Emergency response protocol

What happens when an alarm activates or a member calls for help.

  1. 01

    Alarm activation

The member activates the emergency alarm device or calls the helpline.

  2. 02

    Control room response

The 24×7 Monitoring Centre immediately receives the alert.

  3. 03

    Return call

Control room staff attempt to contact the member and assess the situation.

  4. 04

    Situation assessment

Medical emergency, fall or accident, security concern, emotional distress, or other assistance required.

  5. 05

    Inform authorities

Ambulance, hospital, police, fire and rescue, and emergency contacts as needed.

  6. 06

    Coordinator deployment

The local taluk coordinator visits the location, provides on-site assistance, and supports until resolved.

  7. 07

    Family notification

Family members — including those abroad — are informed and updated regularly.

For life-threatening emergencies, call 108 or your local emergency number first. MGF provides best-effort coordination — we are not a hospital or ambulance substitute.

Our commitment

Our commitment

“Every rupee is reinvested into keeping the network running.”

Senior Care is operated by Mattam George Foundation, a Section 8 nonprofit. Registration and monthly fees recover operational costs — the 24×7 monitoring centre, taluk coordinators, and emergency dispatch — not profit. Senior Care is not free by default.

When charitable funds allow, we may fully or partly subsidise fees after assessment for seniors who cannot pay — subject to fund availability, not a promise of free enrolment. We coordinate with hospitals, authorities, and local responders during emergencies. Realistic expectations and transparent communication are part of our commitment.
